After our pick up we depart London and travel to Windsor. Windsor Castle offers something for everyone, explore the largest and oldest occupied Castle in the world where Her Majesty The Queen chooses to spend most of her private weekends. We start with our multimedia tour of Windsor Castle to explore the state apartments, Mary’s Dolls’ House, St. George’s Chapel and stand to attention whilst watching the Changing of the Guard! You will have approximately 2 hours to explore what Windsor Castle has to offer.
We depart Windsor and head towards Cheddar Gorge, which is known as the Second Greatest Natural Wonder in Britain. These are England’s deepest caves which are made of limestone cliffs rising over 150 m.
There are plenty of activities to keep everybody smiling all day. It doesn’t matter whether you are interested in nature, history or geology, or just want to see some breath-taking views, you’ll find it all at Cheddar Gorge Caves.
This world famous beauty spot is not only a National Nature Reserve but also a famous site of prehistoric discoveries. Once an ancient river bed – its limestone cliffs and beautiful caves are now home to rare bats, dormice, water voles and Peregrine falcons.
Discover the breath-taking splendour of Britain’s most beautiful stalactite cavern where Cheddar Man, Britain’s oldest skeleton, was found. Audio guides bring the cave to life for kids and adults, telling the fascinating story of its Ice Age creation, Stone Age occupation and Victorian exploration.
Take in the dramatic cliffs, explore the stunning stalactite caverns or see the magnificent views from the Cliff-top Gorge Walk. Boasting great attractions to explore by all age groups. You will have plenty of time to explore what Cheddar Gorge cave has to offer and we will start our return journey at 5.30pm to reach London by 9.30pm.
